When I bought mine, it consisted of: 7 pin trailer connector, class 3 frame mounted receiver hitch, Heavy duty electrical/cooling group( I think it is a trans cooler and maybe a better alternator?), heavy duty shock absorbers.

In 1997, my F250 light duty XLT 4wd 5.4L came with the following:
option code 535 Trailer Towing Group which includes
- 3.73 rear axle
- 7-wire trailering harness
- Class III hitch
- H.D. Service package (option code 53C) which includes
- 130 amp alternator
- 78 amp battery
- super engine cooling (larger radiator)
- Auxiliary transmission Oil Cooling (with auto trans)
