if you can go bigger, get some 305's
they will fill up the wheel well better
just make sure you get the tires in the correct load rating, E, right?
Nitto Terra Grapplers are E rated I had them and they were great!

i did the calculations, and a 295/75 is a 11.5W and 33.5" tall tire, while a 305/70 is a 12"W and 33" tall tire.

here is a pic of my truck before i lifted it with 305/70's.

and after the lift:

needs some 35's, eh?

I disagree with what everyone is saying about going with 305's, the 295's will be taller, and will fill the wheel wells better. Not to mention the fact that they are narrower, which is better for the stock wheels (assuming thats what you are running). Good luck.

yes i believe most people do not take into consideration the actual sizes and width of the metric tire system. those who dont know think that a higher first number means it's a taller tire. in fact, it's a narrower tire. the second number determines the sidewall height in relation to the width of the tire.

305/25.4 = 12.0" wide. *.70= 8.4" of sidewall. two sidewalls= 16.8" +16" rim= 32.8".

295/25.4 = 11.6" wide. *.75= 8.71" of sidewall. two sidewalls= 17.42" +16" rim= 33.4".

Hmmm... maybe a bit confusing there, the first # is treadwidth in mm, the second # is aspect ratio (sidewall height expressed as a prrcentage of treadwidth) and the last is, of course the rim diameter.
A larger first # is always a wider tire (if mounted on identicle rims) the hieght varries depending upon all the numbers.

I just installed 295/75's on my 2002 (had 285's before) - I think they look great! (I can't post photos, though) I had to remove the mud flaps, however - too much rub. Also had to trim the front air dam slightly (maybe 1" at the bottom, tapers to 1/2" at the top). My rig has been levelled and has 10" rims.

try this link to compare tire sizes:
