Powerstrokeshop has this kit for a very nice price if you're looking to get rid of the stock junker. I also found a deal at 1stfordparts and they were 14 bucks more and I'm not sure what the the shipping cost from them was. If shipping is free, then they are 2 bucks cheaper then pss.
It will also get you cooler intake temps at idle or very slow speed. I did a test with the 6637 and the temps were only a few degrees over ambient at speed, at idle it gets pretty hot. I'm thinking about the AIS to help drop EGTs faster when stopped. The AIS will also be quieter, some like that, some don't.
My truck is a bone stock 02 F250 7.3. I've only added the predator at 40HP. I've recently moved the setting up to 60HP and decided that I need a better air intake. After reading a few posts, it seems the AIS is the way to go.
I have two questions:
1. Where can I order one?
2. Is the installation easy enough?

Just put mine in this weekend (finally got a break from the rain). Took me less than 3 hours, outdoors, going slow, and I'm disabled. Didn't do the zoodad mod or the foam sleeve, though. Still debating which to do.
Bought mine off Ebay, here is the link or you can look for "K-mans Parts" or search for "Ford AIS intake." He had it up to me here in Alaska in a week from time of purchase. I would have preferred to order it from a sponsor of the site but it was easier and a little cheaper this way. I know that Diesel Power Products carries the whole kit including foam sleeve. They also have upgraded intercoolers and hoses if you wish to really cool the intake air
Darn, won't let me post the link.... Just do the search though and it will come right up, along with replacement filters about $20 cheaper than I have heard others on this site quote. I saved myself $400 total, compared to the quote I got from a local diesel specialty shop for the unit and installation.
Pony Power is right, it should take less than an hour--its a very straight forward install--unless you are busy answering questions like "What does that do, Daddy?" from your daughter, God love her....
If you have an inside shop it should be quick, simple and very worth it.
