Upfitter switch help!

I put the kit in my 03, plugged it into the fuse block as posted by another member, great directions RWILMO moved the 2 wires to the upfitter connector from the same connector on the truck heres what I got, all the lights work without tapping in to the headlight harness...and the only switch to have power coming out is #2..any suggestions???? The member who posted his install saidhe had no power to 3 and 4...HEEEELP! My kit that I got from Ford didn't come with any directions either..anyone have a wiring diagram of the harness??

When I installed my switches I did not have power to #3 either, it happen to be that the fuse for #3 was bad. Did you check the fuses for each switch?

No I haven't really examined them...I will check tonight...I can't figure out why only #2 would have power and 1,3,4 don't...it is mind boggling...

If you look through my instructions with the pictures, you should find info about the fuses, if you still need help post back and I will try to help you later this evening.

In my truck (04) There were missing jcase fuses (little square block style with the clear window) after installing them I had power to switch's 1 & 2. The wires that feed #3 & 4 at the fuse box connector were blank (when looking into the fuse box connector there were no pins) I removed the Red/Lt Blue & Red which are the feeds for #3 & #4 relays, spliced them together and spliced them into the red wire as shown here: http://img217.imageshack.us/img217/5...fitter18pc.jpg

If you look at the picture carefully you will see that the wire I found to splice into is in the next connector. As long as you don't run anything heavy off of switch's 3 & 4 this will work fine, if you need more power I would only splice in 1 switch feed and look for another source for the other.

Let me know if this helps

Glad you are getting somewhere! Let us know how you do. As far as the headlight wire, make sure you tap the dash dimmer wire so they dim with all the other dash lights.

Well after googling Ford Upfitter kit in an 03-04 Ford truck it gave me this thread with good info. I was wondering if there was a Technical post on info needed on where to tap all the wiring. I found a link off of Ebay a month or 2 back that had a bunch of info that some down on the Cape had put up but can not find it any more. Wondering if there was any more info on this. I was looking to add these switches to my 03 F250 and my wifes Excursion.

Thanks for any info and great site.

Thanks for the link. I thought that was the one I couldn't find even after Googling it but that still isn't it. The link I found previously also had the instructions on how to make convert the toggle switch into a momentary switch. That does answer a couple of questions for me as far as the wiring codes go.
