SO i have been looking at a lot of different web sites but no carry it or there out of stock. So i was wondering since i have a 72 f100 if i was to buy 73 f100 inner fenders if they would work?
Yes and no. They will fit but there will be a problem with installing the hood hinges. I believe this has been discussed here a while back so if you do a search you should be able to find some info. Other wise someone that has done this might jump in and save you the trouble of the search.
if you go 73 and later you need the later hinges also. some have had to shim the hinges to fit the hood properly and some dont. my guess is improper alignment of the fenders when they were installed. but the good thing is the later 73 and up inners are galvanized and are much more resistant to rust.
when i called a couple of motnhs ago and ordered them they had both. carpenter that is. if they don't lmc or macs should. you really don't want to put the 73 or newer ones in because there is way to much fabricating you have to do to make it work and it's just a big pain in the butt.
