This place has changed a lot since I racked up a few thousand posts. I still reckon the Tennessee forum is the best of the lot.

Oh I dunno - the different areas all have their points. We have a lot more options than ever, better pic storage, it's faster and more stable than it's ever been.

Nothing like corporate level servers to make a thing rock and roll - eh???

Theo is coming home!! Rogersville TN. I am closing on a cabin there this week, and moving back to TN over the next month.
I am rather happy about this, as I can post crazily in this chapter forum again. It is going to be a challenge to get the Bronco, Excursion, trailers, tractors and other toys from Washington state, to Tennessee - I reckon it will take four trips with a 35ft flatbed. Pity fuel is so high nowadays.

Need a driver for anything slow?

Greywolf, I have nothing slow, so no need to figure out anything about Rufuss.. Who is Rufuss. We are working out the logistics of all this and finding it somewhat less than amusing. But that is life. The closing is being done in multiple states, and that makes for confusion, but it should work out ok.
wW97xlt, do you have a shorter handle to use?? I will probably need it as my fingers are way too lazy to type the whole name out. I will be spending time posting things, with the regularity that I used to, when last I lived in TN. The other states I was in did not have friendly enough chapters and I didn't know any of them, so I didn't post....

Yes there are some, but I can't use them on a forum without getting banned!!!!

In some of the other sections some just use White, but the name is Terry.... Welcome back to Tn, personally I think it's a great place to live, been here all my life except the Military years...

This is Rufie-doo:

We sort of collected eachother back when I was working on RV's

By virtue of where I have his chain located - I haven't had a salesman on my doorstep in years

Here's a better shot courtesy of Gail Bricks, when she and Steve dropped by on the way back from Carlisle one year

I think it's probably the definitive "Rufussness"

~The way that name came about - I had originally named him Rob-Roy. But my next door neighbor is also named Rob, so that became questionable. Then one fine day Rufuss messed something up - and I said "You're not a Rob-Roy, you're a RUFUSS!"

And the name stuck.

That pic also reminds me - after all the rest of the mods I'm doing, those stupid plastic headlights have to go once and for all

How'd you like a border collie and (apparently) bulldog mix? I have one (sort of)

The agreement was that I let her stay at my place, while the neighbors who found her also found a home for her.

This is "WOOLA", named after the martian dog from the John Carter movie:

Doesn't she have a pretty smile?

She is just about perfect "Truck Sized"

I have been trying to find someone to take her, but nada so far - even though everyone seems to fall in love with her. She has an extraordinarily fluffy tail that matches her ears too...

She was running with two other feral dogs in the area, and since she has been I guess 'settled', has turned around 180 degrees from the pup that wouldn't even let a human being get near her...
It's been less than a month I think, and she follows the local kids around and plays with them all day
It would be a (D)'d shame if she went to the pound

*The very same neighbors who found her have begun making noises about that - since they have a 2 to 4 year old brat who messes with her

UPDATE: On the off-chance you may be intrigued by Woola, I just contacted the above neighbors and asked that they set aside any such plans for the time being because someone may be interested

If nothing else, it buys her more time, eh?

We like the look of her, and would like to meet her - we won't be there for a couple of weeks yet - logistics etc. Our usual helper the ubiquitous Joan is working in OKC and has no free time, so we need to juggle things. However, sending me more pictures would make me a happy guy, and don't let anyone send her away - I reckon we got us a dog.

Since we're showing our dogs, here's my crew... Sheba on the right, is Husky/Wolf mix, she weighs in at about 120lbs.. Demon on the left, is Malamute/Wolf mix, and weighs around 135lbs. Needless to say I have no problem with salesmen or Jehovah's Witnesses.....

This is not the best picture in the world, but it is the only one I have with both of them together..

THAT IS ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!!!!!

THANK YOU
THANK YOU
THANK YOU SO MUCH...

I'll let the neighbors know.

There's a good look at those bright shiny choppers of hers - playing around my feet.
Woola is capable (I have observed this personally) of totally destroying one of those large smoked ham bones they make just for large dogs. She will crack them open to get at the marrow...
( 2nd photo from the top - that bone was only in her mouth five minutes. We just got back from the store)

When I first took her in, she would lie down on any article of clothing I carelessly dropped - as if she was used to waiting for a human she once had like that.

Your guess is as good as mine, mate - I have no idea what breed that is. Other than fuzzy kiddo...

When you meet her, you will dial in on her personality instantly. She won't disappoint!
