I finally feel like I have something accomplished!
I have a rolling chassis now and am ready for the cab work to be finished.
After installing the Mustang II front end, I had the frame blasted then I painted it with POR15. I then blasted the rear end at my house and painted it as well. My mono leaf springs arrived this week and I just finished blasting the shackles and installing the bushings today. I'm waiting for new u-bolts that were supposed to arrive with the springs so I temporarily have the axle attached with clamps!
Yesterday I started removing the drivers side floor pan. What a pain to remove the spot welds. They are so inconsistent that drilling them out wasn't an option. I just used a chisel and ball peen to tear the welds and a reciprocating saw to cut it up. A little hammer and dolly work will true up the flanges after grinding the welds off.
