91 ClubWagon E350 code 62

Hi
My Van has 5.8 engine and EO4D transmission.
The check engine light comes on sometimes when on highway going up a long hill. After you get over the hill it goes back out.

I pulled a code 62.
The manual says transaxle 4/3 or 3/2 pressure switch circuit failed closed or convertor clutch problem.

The van shifts but very soft.
I have searched all the autoparts stores but cannot find these pressure switches.
Does anyone what I would ask for?
Also what is the procedure for changing them. I assume it is drop the trans pan and swap them out?

Or is it really the torque convertor starting to fail?
I changed the trans fluid about 1 yr ago.

Thanks,
Rob

Almost garanteed a converter clutch slip. Forget the pressure switches, that's not the problem.

If the shifts are too soft, you have a perssure problem and have probably already burned clutches.

Could that also be related to having too much trans fluid.
I think I was way over full. So I actually drained about 1.5 quarts out and it shifted a little better.

I don't see how. The only thing that can happen from being overfull is if the level gets so high that it reaches the geartrain and the rotating geartrain whips it into a foam.

It would take more than 1.5 quarts to get it that high.
