I have a 6 cd player that has a stuck cd in it. Is there any easy way to get the cd out? Of course, the butter knife trick does not work. What about removing the player from the dash what is involved. Not to sound cheap but I do not want to pay 100- 200 dollars to the dealer to do this. Any help would be appreciated.
Hi I have the same problem I know there are four holes on the face plate of player but they are so deep I can't figure out what type of tool would go in there to release the face plate Have you figured it out? thnaks Charlie
My wife gets ours out with a credit card, not sure how she does it, but she can get it out everytime, which is about once a week. So it can be done, you just have to fiddle with it a little while.
Has happened on mine several times.. I just play with the 123456 buttons and the eject then it spits it out half way and i pull out the rest of the way.. Easy!

The tool you speak of is 2 peices of U-shaped round metal and has flats close to the pointed ends. This tool connects with a piece of springy metal that actually holds the head unit in. After the tool is inserted pull them to the sides away from the center and then pull out on the unit. You can probobly get this tool at a store that sells car stereos as mine came with an aftermarket unit I purchased.
I had the same issue. Th cd started to eject and then didn't. After some research I found that you just have to disconnect the batteries and the system will reset, there by ejecting the cd or cds. If you run a search on radios and cd eject you will find alot of info. Good luck.
Seems like a lot of work to disconnect the battery, especially since ours gets stuck about once a week. We had a Windstar with the same radio, it did the same thing, apparently its a pretty common thing.
