WEIRD Transmission slippage.......
2005 EB 4wd with 25000 miles.
This afternoon I sat in a parking lot with the truck running, and the a/c running. It is about 95 degrees here. When I put the truck in gear and pressed the gas, it felt like the rear tires had slipped (like in an oil slick or something) and then they caught. I stopped and tried it again, and the same thing happened. Kinda like I had stopped on a small patch of ice or something. I drove out of the lot and down the street, and then everything was OK.
Could the tranny have just gotten too hot sitting still like that for 15-20 minutes? Does the fluid need changing? Is the tranny going south? What's this thing trying to tell me?????
