66 FE fan shroud

Hi Folks,

I am planning a road trip from the West Coast (Santa Cruz, Ca.) to New Orleans to help a friend in need. Located an upgrade to a 4 core radiator and was wondering if a fan shroud was used on these vehicles or if not a shroud from a later model that might fit? Thanks.

HCF, A clean 3 row radiator is all that you need for our series truck. There is no problem getting air through the rad as long as the vehicle is moving. A shroud for a 72-76 F series with a 352, 360 or 390 would be proper.

I have a shroud that I removed from a 91 E150 with a 302, that will bolt up in my 66 F100. I will need to use a shorter spacer on the fan to put it more in the opening of the shroud to make it work properly.

As for driving the trip, if you haven't had any problems, you should be able to make it fine. If you are having problems now, correcting them before the long trip is a good idea.

Hope it works out for you

John
