Ball joints
Well my 2000 powerstroke had a bang on the left tire so if took it to repair shop.
No dealer for me!Just got call said lower ball joints bad need to replace
are replacing with moog that have grease zerks so that's good and they have
a lifetime warranty which I will collect as truck only has 63,000 miles.This year
going to be an expensive year for maintenance;tires and brakes are next.

Hope all goes well with the repair.
Can you tell us how much you are being charged for the job? I assume you will be replacing all 4 ball joints.
There is an outstanding post in the tech folder that would help you to do the job yourself, if you wanted to.

At my age and with my health issues I don't do backyard mechanic work anymore.
They charged me $539 for lifetime guarantee at VIP.That's a garage chain in Maine.
I did not bother to change uppers now because I just got done doing $3000 worth of work on rest of families cars.I figure with the plow they be ready to be replaced real soon and I will make good on warranty.I've had this truck for year and half so far it's been outstanding!
