dont wait too long to get one..i was waiting to hear more on the blue ones befor i got one to have for back up. in the proses my cps went out .. had to pay 190. for one at home when i could have gotten one on e-bay for 75 bucks...i been told the blue is ok for a stock truck but if you plan to do any mods. they dont work as well...
Do a search, there is a huge thread on this. I will add that my blue one is my spare. If you dont trust e-bay, you can go to a local International dealer and buy one for 120 bucks.
I was standing in the international dealer and asked about the blue. The parts manager says they throw all the blues off of the bigger trucks away and replace them with the black? I dont get it.

I got mine at my local IH dealer for $94.00 and told them it was for my farm truck in GA., out of state.....no tax.
i was told they didnt work well with our mods. there ok for a spare if you need one as they will make the power stoke run better but not last as long as the black ones...
i lost mileage with bluey, but i will say this--- blue cps + hpx = one quiet powerstroke! my bluey failed pretty quick, so i but in a new black one. the replacement blue i got rides as a spare.
I put my blue one in about 6 weeks ago. Mileage stayed the same or went up by a couple tenths. The idle is better and the engine is overall quieter. I've done the intake, exhaust and the Hypertech before doing the CPS and so far see nothing detrimental using it. I have a black one as a spare. The only difference is the blue one has a slightly stronger magnet over the black one. I'll see how long it lasts....
