My 87 F-150 has the auto hubs after I disengage 4 wheel the drivers hub will try to lock in when im drivig only seeems to do it when I turn sharp bolts are tight on outside but hub is a bit loose still they are factory hubs as far as I can tell

 

Once you take it out of 4x4, drive in reverse for a few minutes. Mine did that too. I just back up a good 100', drivin' fast, and then it usually unlocks.

 

this will do it sometimes like about 30miles later or whenever
