I just purchased a 1975 F-250 camper special with a running 390 and C-6 trans for a doner truck for my 1965 F-250 camper special. I will probly have a lot of question, but will try to look at the previous posts to answer some of them. Oh Ye the best part is that I got the truck for $200.00 American!

Congrats on your find. You might want to check the stroke on the engine. It is very likely the 390 is really a 360. That would have been the correct size engine installed. Since you can't look at it and tell the difference, a lot of them turn into 390s on sale day.
