2000 Expedition air suspension problem
The front seemed to be working at at the right height. Now the rears, both of them, seemed to be totally bottomed out. There was no travel at all when I jumped on the bumper. If the rear bags had failed, I would have suspected to get a weird ride, as though the shocks were gone, but what I didn't expect is that the rear would ride as though it was totally bottomed out. It was LOW. Almost like even the leaf springs were gone and it was resting on the bottomed out rubber bumpers or the axle.
The pump seemed to be running all the time and after about 10 minutes, the CK SUSP light came on. Turned key OFF, then ON and the light flashed but then went back out. The rear didn't raise even one bit.
It was dark so I couldn't get under it. Will look in the morning.
Are the air lines to front and back isolated enough so that if a line burst in the rear it would still be able to control the front but the rear would not pump up at all?
Ideas? Thanks.
Robert
