Unity Spotlight install

Have any of you guys installed a Unity windshield post spotlight in our trucks?

I have installed these in several vehicles (all my vehicles have or had them) -- but never in one of these trucks. I got the install kit which puts the outside hole somewhat below the lower left hand corner of windshield, instead of the winshield post (which is probably too narrow to accomodate it anyway.) What I would like to know is where the hole comes out on the inside. Does it come out of the dashboard between the left edge of the bezel and the door? Just curious how it should work/look before I start drilling. Thanks, Brian

No, it would come in behind the AC duct panel.
Far left side of dash behind just above where the wiring runs to the side panel.

What I want to know is where the hole in the dashboard for the light stem winds up at.

I know what you wanted to know right from the start.

I suspected ...Left hand cowl just below the corner of the windshield.

and I tried to already

Please point out exactly which light.

It's an H-1, or what is now known as the 250 series.

Their site is too bogus for details of how it installs.

I must have clicked that image 10 times and nothing came up.

I would think to install it on the cowl you would need a 60*-80* angle to bring it back toward the dash.

The distance from the cowl to the dash is about 10"-12".

do you not have one of these trucks just to look at ?

I knew that would be some precise measuring.

To me it looks like it takes up a lot of that corner space.

As long as works for your needs, that's what is important

Thanks for posting the update

Glad you like it.

Reading along this thread I kept thinking "all the Ford trucks at work had roof lights". After seeing your pictures I'm sure of it. Only the chevys had the lights where yours is, I prefered the roof light.

Lots of reasons to like the roof light while using it and one reason to hate the roof light right after you bumped your bare head or hardhat on the handle of the sorry sucker.
