trans.temp.ga.suggestions '05 e350

I need to install a trans temp gauge for towing my travel trailer, I like to tow in overdrive and have been advised that I watch the temps, as torque converter may not be locked up all the time. Planning on a 1000mi arkansas trip, so I was going to install before that trip. Found a "b+m" unit from Jegs #130-80212 $46.99. Has anyone done this mod, any suggestions? There is supposed to be a test port on the trans that I can tap into. kips

Towing in OD is a big NO-NO, it even tells you so right in the manual. Here's a procedure someone did to a Villager mini-van, you may want to try this.
