Problem with 99 superduty

I have a 1999 F-250 Superduty, and it has a mide of it own. Sometimes when I go to start it up it will not start but if I put it in netrual it will start up. What could be the problem. Please Help Me.

I think you mave have a bad prndl switch, or it or the shift cable could be out of adjustment. Some one else may be able to explain it a little better than me.

I had to same problem, with my 1999 f250, I just had to adjust shift cable, where it goes into transmission, problem solved....it will only take you 5 minutes
