A/C compressor bracket swapability question.

Will the A/C compressor brackets from any engine family swap with the engines from another family? I'm working with a 302, a 351M, and a 390 and need to know if the brackets from the 351M will work on either the 302 or the 390?

Yep, the York. I'm using one for A/C on my 302 that's going into my '79, and using one for on board air for my '76 F350 with a 390. I have brackets for a 351M, but not for the 302 or the 390.

I looked under lots of hoods for a/c brackets for my '73 390. Tried 302, 351 and 460 brackets, but none worked - only FE brackets will work for a 390. So I ended up making some from flat iron.

AFAICR,.....The 351M/400/460 are inter-changeable.

The 360/390 are

The 302 & The 351W are seperate.

I'm pretty sure it has to do with Head design & casting.
