battery
i just got a new battery.. about a week ago.. last night i was cleaning my engine, so i disconnected the neg part.. and then about 30 min later out it back.. now when i try to start .. it acts like its dead?? any ideas

What do you mean by 'acts like it's dead'? Does it turn over at all? Do the headlights work? Are you sure the old battery was bad, and that your problem wasn't cable related? Sorry for all the questions, but we need more info...

i replaced the terminal.. still .. acts like its not going to start. so i am not sure what the deal is.. the old battery was dead.. when i go to start the battery acts like its dead for a second then turns over.. any ideas?

Check you ground connection to the block and the positive connection to the solenoid and between the solenoid and starter. If your old battery was dead and you now have a new battery it should turn over without any problem. If all your connections are good and tight many auto parts stores will test Starters for free. It could be your starter but I would not think it went at the same time as the battery.
