Total Shock!!!!!!
Well my wife shows up at my work today and calls me from the parking lot and says I need to come out to the car.<O
</OWhen she gets out her hair is about 12 inches shorter than I have ever seen it (18 years) it is almost bobbed. what a shock. but it was for a good cause as it is getting sent to locks of love with my daughters 12 inches.<O

I'm with ya, Jake. When I started dating my woman, she sported short hair. I convinced her to grow it out, and she looks greater than before.

Im not a huge fan of short hair either, but my wife donates it as well. For that, i can deal with it. Its not like its an inconvenience, and if it makes some little kid feel 'normal' then so be it.

Could be worse. One day my wife came home with her hair cut real short and I don't know, Feathered(??) and highlighted?
I was in shock, but my mother in law who was sitting there and who was in early stages of Alzheimers and had no inhibitions pipped up and said, "Well, looks to me like a bird that had a bad molt".
I was very very lucky to keep my cool and said nothing. One of life's tougher moments.
What your wife did was a good thing. So appreciate it whether it appeals to you or not. Hair grows back.

Helifixer, I give your wife alot of credit getting that much hair cut off. My daughters have donated twice each. Myself, I have hair down to my waist, but I get it highlighted every few weeks and they don't take processed hair.
Three years ago, I had about 10 inches cut off. Even though it was mid-back, I felt naked.

I could never ever do that to my hair for a couple reasons. first being my boyfriend wouldn't talk to me till it grew back out. second, my hair is way too curly and it would be a fro, and third, i love my long hair

i did that bout month back i had wanted it longer and the lady went and cut it off right on the shoulders instead of bout 2 inches longer..sorta made me mad but its for good cause and just intime with the heat lol but in another 2 years ill do it all over again im sure lol
