Different AC question (maybe!)

I'm new to the forum, but have been looking around and have not been able to find the answer to this one.
My son just traded for a 98 F150, and the AC is blowing hot air. I have read about the blend door problem, but want to be sure before taking the truck back to the lot where he bought it.
When checking the wiring behind the temperature control switch, there is no fire to that switch. Could this possibly be the problem, and where could I get a wiring diagram (quick!) to check this out.
Thanks so much!

Yes that can be the specific cause of your truck's symptom.

Check fuse F5 in the underhood fuse box. It supplies power to both the blend door actuator and the AC compressor clutch circuits.

If you still need diagrams, I can post them later. Other than downloading the complete service cd, I don't know of any accessible (except by subscription) repository of diagrams for the F150 online.

Welcome aboard.
