my DSO code is 72
***NEVERMIND THAT Q - JUST FOUND A MESSAGE YOU SENT BACK IN MAY REGARDING A "72" DSO - SAN JOSE DISTRICT, RIGHT??
This may sound stupid, but... I'm learning - & I see a lot of questions answered by you!
My rear axle is Dana 60 -full floating(I looked)- but the code on the VIN plate for the rear axle RATIO says "B4" (which Chiltons doesn't have anything listed before 1973)- Do you know what that means?
Thanks!

Elizabeth:
1. I have a set of dealer parts volumes from 1967. It has a wealth of information in it. I also have the shop manuals for repairs, but they aren't as valuable for information. Amnd yes, DSO 72 is San Jose.
2. B4 for 65 is a Spicer (= Dana?) locking rear, 4.10 ratio, 5,200 lbs capacity. (B4 for earlier is the same axle and cap, but higher ratio.)
Hope this helps!
