Towing capacity and shift quality
Second, I didn't like the slushy shifting from my E4OD. I did a little research to see if it was a design issue or a problem, turned out that it was shifting exactly as it was programmed to do. I picked up a shift improver made by B&M. It just takes two wires hooked into the harness. It really improved the shift firmness. It has two settings, plus it can be turned off. It doesn't change the shift points, which I was hoping for, but that was secondary. I was primarily concerned with the shift firmness. It was about 42 bucks and I didn't have to break open the tranny to install it (although I had to do that anyway for the filter/fluid change). Hopefully it'll prevent some friction and heat from those soft shifts.
