I have a 02 f150 that sounds like it has excesive fan noise. The fan will rotate by hand with some resistance. I have a friend with the same year and motor(5.4) and his sounds a lot quieter. The truck runs fine but Ive been told if fan does not disengage at appropriate time I could be losing HP. Also, the best MPG I have gotten is 15MPG on hwy. The truck has 59000 miles on it . It is a FX4 with factory 16" rims and tires. Any ideas would be helpful.
