Brute Force air intake for a 6.6 Duramax
A friend of mine just called and asked me to post this to see what the problem might be. He didnt appreciate that I told him it was a GM and should be planted in the yard.
His problem is that he just put a new air intake on his Duramax and the gauge that shows restriction reads that airflow is 80% restricted. This is a new intake straight out of the box. Would it read different due to it not being an OE part? We took the filter out last night and rinsed it and sprayed it out, but today it again reads 80% restricted airflow. Has anyone else experienced this problem or something similar? If you did, what did you do to correct it. I still feel the best correction for him would be to buy a Powerstroke.
Thanks.
Mike
