Koyo makes the terra grappler in 295x70x17. I recently put a set on my 2005 F250, and it fills the well without raising the truck above entry level for kids. It has an aggresive look and is a good bit cheaper than BFGs. Only got 500 miles so I can't speak for tire wear.
I always had BFG A/T, but for the price I went with the nittos on the Ford. I still believe the BFG is the best all terrain tire made. I drive a company vehicle and have only put 4700 miles on my SD since July 05. The nittos should last atleast till it is paid for. The tread may not be as aggresive, but the nittos have a aggresive look at the sidewall - tread joint and they are not as noisy as the BFGs.
got my 315's installed yesterday, 235 bucks mounted and balanced including the price of the tires(h2 takeoffs) with 9/32 tread left....i love them, fit great ride great, same load rating as my stock tires, except load range d
