Ok, I have a 1966 F250 and I can't get the turn signals to work. The hazard, parking, tail, and brake lights work great and the turn signal switch looks brand new. I replaced the fuses and flashers and also checked the bulbs and any connections I could locate. The owner before me installed a trailer brake so I don't know if that could be causing the problem. My next step is to take a voltage tester to verify im getting power and go through the wiring. Any ideas?
Bad grounding is the place to start looking. A battery post brush in the bulb sockets can make a difference sometimes. Start at the bulb and work forward.

In the cool still quiet of night, you can hear chevies rusting away.
Lets try this:
Do you hear the flasher clicking and no bulbs light up?
1. Purchase a continuity tester (ice-pick type tool with a wire an bulb)
Leave all lights off with the ignition switch on.
Turn on a turn signal, crawl up under the dash and check the fuse, both sides. If the tester flashes, your a step closer.
If not, remove the fuse and replace with a 20amp fuse.(if it still doesn't work, follow step 3)
If it does flash, check the other signal.
2. If you verified both flash, move to the rear of the truck and crawl under while a signal is still activated, probe the wire at the chassis. Check all of them. If the tester flashes, you have isolated the problem to the light housing. Check for ground and a good bulb.
Follow the same procedure for the front.
3. If you are not getting power in the previous tests, your problem is most likely the switch in the column and is available ot most parts houses in the HELP! section for a few bucks.
Ok I got my turn signals to work now. I switched the wiring between the hazard lights and turn signals. Looks like I'm not getting power to them but I atleast can drive the truck until I track down the problem. Thanks for the help.
