First road trip

Drove my 53 1000 miles this past weekend to the Rod and Custom Americruise in Lincoln Ne. First true road trip of length for it. 302 and AOD performed well, Volare front rode and drove excellent. Vintage Air was a most welcome addidtion and fended off the 100 degree temps. Had a failure in the pasenger side "Electra Life" [?] power window, the weld holding the lift arm to the glass channel broke. Rigged it in up posistion and left air on. I am going to get serious about a hard bed cover now. Several other "effies" attended also. I will attempt to post pics in a few days. Joe

Did you grin like a Jack-o-Lantern most of the way? I would have. Let's see those pics.

(Can't wait to get my truck back on the road again.)
