I'm in the same boat as the guy a couple of posts before me but with a slightly different problem. I have a 2005 F150 with the DVD system however the DVD system doesn't turn on at all yet it is plugged in. If anyone can give me some insight as to where the harness for the DVD player leads to I can probably get it working again but I am at a loss at this point. Also, I'd like to know where I can find the part number. On another note, does anyone think it's worth it to just buy a BETTER aftermarket dvd screen/player combo? Any help is appreciated to get this DVD system working; my nieces will sure appreciate it as well! Thanks!
Routing of the harnes is pretty straight forward. There are templetes that come with the DVD player (If you buy it as a kit) to cut the holes in the headliner.
chavelka, you don't still have those templates, do you? I am trying to get a Ford car stereo and DVD player moved from one Freestar to another Freestar that never had a DVD player, and I'm going to move the headunit with the DVD Player, so they match, but as there is not already a DVD player in the recipient Ford, I have no idea how to manage routing the cable for the overhead DVD player. Any help from anyone would be awesome. I live in the New York / Baltimore region and would be glad if I can find someone who I can pay for this, as well.

Chevelka hasn't posted in over 10 years now, so I'm guessing he/she won't reply.
Have you checked a stereo installer? They can probably provide some help, or maybe even install for you. Good luck
