A/C on max not working

A/C on max not working

I have a '92 F-150, and when I move the selector to Max A/C, nothing changes. After a couple minutes, the cool air stops blowing out the vents and out the defroster ports instead. I had another switch, so I swapped it out, and still the same. Is there someplace else I should be checking?

Could be a vacuum problem.

I've been doing a little more searching around on it, and think I'll go after the acutator on the door, to see if it is operating properly

That would be a good item to check.

Can you tell a difference between idle and being on the gas. That would also indicate vacuum.

Loss of vaccum from intake.

Check the supply line and any fittings for cracks/splits

I have a similar problem with my '91 F-150. Which intake do you mean?
