I own a 63 unibody ford, longbed, w\ large rear window. It was 95% intact when I bought it and is going through the restoration process. I chose this truck mainly for the uninterupted body line, it just looks cool. 292 and t-98. Trying to research putting in an automatic, c-4 or c-6 and having the manual bellhousing worked over to retain the stock mount configuration.
In the area where I live, there are five other unibody trucks, all three years, in all configurations, six's, v-8's , three and four speeds l\b and short bed and both windows in the rear. All need tailgates, like this is a surprise.
I will pass this on to the other owners as I run across them and good luck in your endeavor,
Bob S

Hey everyone. My first time writing a message here. I am looking to buy a 1962 Ford F-100 4x4. It has a regular body..nothing special. It runs and everything works. A man is selling it out of his fornt lawn. He is only asking $800.00 for it. I am sure to buy it when I get paid at teh end of the week if it is still there hopefully it will be. I currently drive a 1995 Ford F150 XLT 4x4. I am just looking to fix up this old truck for some fun. Just thought I'd share. I live in the Tacoma, WA area for now.

Just bought a 62 s/b for $150.00 in a salvage yard near my home of Annapolis, Mo. Looked for one for many years. Know of two more s/b's in the area. It's pretty straight but missing the tail gate. Plans include big tubs, mustang 2 susp., and my built 70 "DOVE" 429.
There was a real nice complete s/b on ebay last week. Started at $800 but didn't watch it.
I'll be watching this with great interest. Would be glad to help anyway i can.
Found a pair of 67 to 72 crew cab rear doors if anyone needs them. Guy wanted $40 each. A little rust on bottom, but fixable.

hi robert
i own a 62/f100 unibody myself, i think your idea is a great idea.
i don't know much about unibodies either, but i guess we can really find out through other unibody owners.
i'll try to do some home work on these beauties too.
if you have an estimated number regarding the amount of uni's made it will be nice to know it.

I have a 61 unibody custom cab. It has a short bed and the rear curved wrap around window. Its going to sound wierd but the guy I bought it from put a olds 455 in it. I am currently rebuilding the engine and putting so performace into it. It has been lowered and has the strait axel remove and replaced with a unknow cars front end equipment. I have been look for production numbers for this year but haven't found any. I was wondering if you had any idea.
Thanks
Tim

Hi. My name is Laurie. I own a 1961 F100 Unibody shortbed. I am putting a 351W in it. I have a long way to go. Just now getting ready to sandblast the frame. I'm not sure at this time if I want to keep it up or lower it. I have seen both and think i'd like to keep it the way it came. Good luck in keeping track of how many are out there. Would like to know that also.

Hello fellow ford lovers. I have a 61 shortbed uni custom cab.
I bought it from some dirt heads that were using it for a wood hauler for $350. The poor truck had more leaf springs under than an f-550!!! anyways it had the 223inline six whose oil looked like a chocolate milkshake, so for reliability and lack of funds I put a brand new 300 six in it. It had a three on the tree (relocated to the floor via a MR. Gasket indy Shifter, piece of crap) and 9" posi with 373 gears. I have done all the body work and Had it painted bright teal mettalic with 3 coats of clear. I am missing a tailgate however, so if anyone knows of a company that makes a repoduction PLEASE E-MAIL me. I love these trucks, they have such a smooth body line that gives the away, e-mail me and tell me about yours if you want. I would also like to know what they are worth too.
good luck,
jarrad
