Rear hatch light
I have a 2000 X 7.3 diesel. The interior light will not go out when the rear hatch glass is shut and I am unable to locate the switch. Can anyone give some advice as to where it is located or info on what else might be causing the problem.

It is part of the locking mechanism in the hatch. Sometimes a liberal dose of WD-40 can fix the "light always on" woes.
Spray it up into the latch and open and close a half a dozen times.

Unless you're refering to the very rear light which has it's own switch built into it. It has 3 positions, on, on with door activation, or off all the time.
