Greetings all. Just bought a 2004 F250 6.0 diesel. I wanted more power, so I then bought a edge with attitude. A friend of mine also has the edge on his duramax and I was checking out the install. Looks pretty easy. I am expecting it somtime today. Any advice would be great. Like where to drill for probe, where is the best place to mount attitude, etc.

It's all in the instructions which you can download right off their site. It's all easy except the pyro probe. That's not too fun, but if you do a forum search for pyro you'll come across some posts with great tips in them. Good luck and have fun!
The instructions tell you exactly how and where to install the Pyro probe. It might help you to know the Edge Juice W/Attitude voids any factory warranty you might have. Ford blames Edge as one of the most common factors in Turbo failure. I know this from experience after blowing my Turbo on my 2003 6.0L Powerstroke and Ford would not cover the cost of replacement under warranty. Also keep a close eye on your EGT as it will rise very quickly with the Edge. I absolutely loved the power of the Edge but one must be careful.

kcwins1,
I am a new sponsor in the forum and I just wanted to tell you that the best place to mount your new Attitude monitor is above your rear view mirror with a BlendMount. Check out the tower add or my website. Feel free to ask me any questions you may have.

I got one around Christmas and love it. I also bought the aftermarket mount that puts it on the far side of the dash near the "oh-$#!t" handle. I am very happy with it. I did figure that there would may be warranty probelms, but after reading the Ruidosorider's post I'm a little alarmed. I guess I would demadn some sort of mediation if problems arise.
I want to throw my two cents out (since I had an Edge) - - ANY chip / tuner / programmer is going to affect your warranty. Edge doesnt have the market on voiding warranties or anything. Frankly, their juice/attitude combo isn't a bad little deal.
Mounting is completely up to where you want to look at the thing. I tried it several places. Hated on the dash. I dont think I would have liked it overhead either. I ended up with it under the headlight switch on the lower dash and that was out of the way and keen. I could still glance at it right through the steering wheel.
I am looking for a "chip" or way to boost my fuel mileage if at all possible. I have read the Edge web site but it doen't state that it "will" boost my fuel mileage at all.
This is my first diesel truck, a 2008 F250 XLT. Can anyone give me some good information on getting better fuel mileage out of my truck.
Thanks,

Training your right foot is going to be the best way to try to improve your fuel mileage. Not something I'm sure you wanted to hear, but it is as good as it's going to get.
Not only are Edge products sub-par at best, if your talking about their shift on the fly modules, that's really not tuning your vehicle. Shift on the fly is mutually exclusive from actually tuning ones vehicle particularly when you are talking about the 6.0s and your 6.4.
The last thing you have to realize is most of the tuners that aren't custom tuned, are performance enhancers first and foremost. You might see improvements, but more then likely you won't. If you do great, if you don't, you shouldn't worry about it because you should have got it for the performance boost that it was designed to give.
Now with custom tunes, you can actually leave stock hp/tq output alone and just tune the transmission to better suit you and your needs and that might actually help with fuel efficiency, but you won't get that with tuners that don't do custom tuning.
