OK...after several hours of research, both here and elsewhere (mostly here) I have pretty much deceited that IF I tune my 2006 F-250 6.0 L truck It will be with Superchips Flashpaq. The primary reasons are Internet upgrade-ability and the ability to return the truck to factory condition easily. So here's my question...has anyone ever seen or heard of a Superchip failure where the original programing was lost, thus making it impossible to return the truck to factory condition? Call me paranoid, but that kind of worries me with regard to Ford warranty.

In 4 years of development with superchips, we never had it happen on a 6.0
Not once.
A few 7.3's went down (but were recoverable), but thats an entirely different PCM.
You have no worries, and if something were to happen, Superchips would take care of it.
n3hcp...Don't forget about the SCT tuner. I just recently switched (6months) to the SCT after being with SuperChips for several years. There is no comparison! The SCT's abilities to change tunes is way beyond the FlashPaq. The Flashpaq still doesn't offer custom tunes. Do yourself a favor and visit www.sctflash.com or better yet go to www.innovativediesel.com.

With the SCT you get way more for your money...
Good Luck
Give it a few weeks; the flashpaq will offer custom tunes.
Vic...I tried giving it a few weeks many times and got tired of the different answers. I've moved on to SCT. I gave SuperChips plenty of money and went through two non updateable/tradeup's after 6 years with them. If they would have given me accurate answers when I called I would have waited it out. The other thing that I didn't want to go through was another learning curve with a manufacturer. SCT has been doing the custom tunes for a while now and seem to have a good handle on custom tuning the custom tunes...If that makes sense. I now have a tune that feels perfect for my driving style and my tow mode has exactly the right shifting along with the "JakeBrake" feature that is a nice option.
Hopefully for the remainder of the SuperChips-FlashPaq owners they will offer something innovative and unique.
P.S. Not to Hijack this thread, but while at the FORD dealership...a guy came in with an 8month old PSD with an Edge system. Short Story....New Transmission and Head-Gasket. Luckily the dealer is "Tuner" friendly and is going to cover it, but they suggested to move on to something else(grin).
