New X Owner Here
Been lurking for a few days and have appreciated all the good info posted on here. Just signed on the dotted line on a 2000 V10 X Limited with 57K. I paid 13K in Texas and traded in a 04 Nissan Xterra. Kind of feel pretty scared about now about trading a vehicle with 13K miles for a six year old Ford. I bought the rig in anticipation of buying a new travel trailer. Also own a 02 1500 Suburban that used to tow a popup. I knew that the 1500 would not feel quite right towing a heavy load so I figured an X would be the way to go. I'm a little nervous since the only Ford I've ever owned was a POS 1996 Windstar. I'm expecting bad MPG, but the Xterra was a 3.3 V6 and I could only muster 14/18 MPG on average. I will take delivery tomorrow since the dealer is replacing the door lock actuators. Hopefully there will be no buyers remorse. My payments are virtually the same and for the same term. Thanks again for all the info and be gentle if and when I may venture to ask some newbie questions.
