You need a puller, specially designed to pull the clutch. It has a Ford Part number on it. Found it was cheaper, and no worry the old clutch would fail to just replace the clutch. I used a bolt that was a little longer than the OEM bolt to start the clutch on the shaft, then switched back to the OEM bolt. What ever you do do not push the clutch on to the shaft, you could ruin the new compressor seals. Also before installing the new compressor, pour the oil out of the old compressor into a clean, glass measuring cup. Mark the cup for the oil level. Discard oil, and clean the cup. Now pour the oil out of the new compressor, only put back the amount of oil that you measured coming out of the old compressor.
