Anyone have Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor tires on their 04-06 F-150? Have been looking for replacements for my 275/65/18 BFGoodrich Rugged Trails with a taller but not wider tire. Toyo Open Country and Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor both have a 275/70/18 (33" I believe). Would this size tire on factory FX4 wheels rub at all? I do not want to have to use any kind of leveling kit to make it work. Want the taller tire to fill up the wheel well a little more so a leveling kit would be pointless. Thanks in advance for any help.

I'm not a tire specialist but my understanding of tire sizes are the first #275 is the hight and the second #65 is the width. I could be wrong but I think you want a 285/65/18, that is probably 33" hight. I've seen some other threads about this. I gathered that the 285/65/18 is the largest tire you can fit without doing any level kit or lift.
The stock tire 275/65/18 is 32.1" diameter and will provide 629 revs per mile.
The 275/70/18 is 33.2" diameter provide 608r revs per mile or will be 3.2% too slow on your speedo, so if you are traveking at 62mph, the speedo will read 60mph.
Based on the 1.1 inch in diameter difference, I kind of doubt any interference problem!
275 = width in millimeters to convert to inches 275/25.4 = 10.8 " width
65/70 = aspect ratio
18" = diameter of the wheel
So based on this both tires should have equal width, it's just going to be a litter larger in diameter.
