transmission problem help asap

transmission problem help asap

is it possible to remove the transmission while leaving the torque converter in place kinda the same way you would do a clutch?? if so what do i need to know in order to make it happen?

no it is not possible without the possibility of damaging something.

nor is there enough room to do it.

to put trans. back in you would have to unbolt it anyway.

why are you thinking of doing this?

the last nut on my torque converter that holds it to the fly wheel is rounded and i dont have the clearance to get anthing helpful on it and i ran out of ideals so in meager frustration i thought about snatching the whole hting any ideals on how to go about fixing this problem

can u grind off head then pull out with visegrips after you get it out??????e bay got new stall 2200 for 135.00

i see the problem now.

craftsman has a nut spliter that may work.

i gave in to my wife and senyt it to the shop to be fixed some one elses headache now i hate auto trans how hard would it be to swap to manual and what would i need? are there any good forums on this topic?
