CEL - no code
Are there situations where the CEL would come on, but when you go to check the code, the OBD-II scanner doesn't see it?
I've been experiencing this lately... when I deliberately set up for a CEL (ie - disconnect a sensor), I get a code. Plug it all back in and drive for a few duty cycles and the CEL comes back on without a code to be read. Truck runs fine, but I'm kinda confused. In order to read the codes, I have to shut the truck off and follow the scanner's directions... could this have something to do with not seeing the CEL?
