Can anyone tell me what sieze bolts you need to bolt your bed on your truck? I had to cut mine off and threw them away and never bothered to take any measurements on them. I know I will need 8 of them. Thanks
I didn't pay much attention when I removed mine, but I'm thinking they were 1/2" diameter. You should be able to stick a rod through the hole and mark it and then measure the rod to get an idea of how long they need to be (buy them longer than what you measure so the nuts will fit). I would use regular bolts with washers instead of carriage bolts.
They are 1/2 x 3 1/2 square shoulder carriage head bolts. I have some in stainless for sale in the classifieds if you are interested.
I went to buy grade-5 carridge bolts at an -honest to goodness- nut and bolt shop and they said they were called "shaker screen bolts".
Me? I'd prefer the carridge type heads over regular bolts with washers but I'm pretty wierd. :/ I got one that has a phillip's head instead and it's a pain.
Not too thrilled with the stainless steel ones neither. :/ Sorry, FC.

Whatever you do use some anti-seize and especially on the stainless stuff.
