86 351 fuel injected???
I have a question. I am looking at an 86 f 150, the owner said he sawped the 302 out for a 351 when the 302 blew up. he swares he has driven the truck on the road since the swap, but now the trans is bad. I was wanting to know if ford had a fuel injeted v8 in 86 trucks or am I getting into a swap that went wrong. I am courus becsase the truck wont stay running for more than 5 seconds, he said its bad gas but Im not so shore. I was going to buy the truck for the body any way but got to thinking about fixing it up, any ideas?? Thanks in advance

Guys it`s been quite a while but I believe the 302 got injected in 85, the 351w in 86, the 300 6 cyl in 87, and the 460 in 88. I`m sure of the 302 because I ordered one of the first ones to come out, I`m fairly certain about the others but my memory likes to play tricks on me sometimes too!!
