mud drags
here is a vid if your interested. But we probably shouldn't be hijacking this thread quite so badly. if anyone wants to know more start a thread asking me and I will tell anyone all about it. http://www.supermotors.net/vehicles/...y/media/239265
I don't care where there made, or who owns them, I like BFG's, alot of offroaders use them, thier a good tire. A acouple of tires I use to use alot, were cooper, and kelly sprinfeild, they were made right here in ohio. I don't even know if they still exsist any longer, but they were pretty good tires.
Cooper Discoverer's are pretty good....the SST's wear pretty fast but they dig like crazy in the mud. And the K/S Safari tires arent too bad either. I'm like you though....I love my BFG's
I need to get the wife some new tires for liberty, she doesn't rate BFG's for what she does, but a kelly, or cooper may be a good choice. I'm sure there cheaper than BFG's, she only needs an AT, no muds for her. Honestly, I'ld rather have AT's, mud tires are noisy, and wear to fast. I think the BFG ko's are the closest thing to a mud tire without the drawbacks. I mean I know mud tires are better for pure mud, but for a varity of conditions, it's hard to beat the KO's.
I don't see them mentioned but I have had good luck with hancooks, both the mud terrian, and all terrian, last set of MT that I had went 60,000 miles on a half ton, and I have never owned a set of AT's long enough to wear them out most I ever went before selling the vehicle was 40k+
Hancooks you say, I've never heard of them, who makes them, or are they thier own company ? Are the muds noisy on the highway? Acouple of my buddies run trxus mud tires, they like them, and thier priced well, but "man", are they noisy on the pavement.
The Hankooks are a good tire and priced very nicely. Dayton makes a good tire at a fair price too but they are made by Bridgestone/Firestone so I doubt you would buy them Wendell.
Korean, might as well buy tires from the vc, Charlie selling tires, what will be next, Sadam selling tooth paste ha ha ha ha. I don't buy firestone because of the ford deal, not because there owned by the japanese. Toyo tires are getting popular with the offroad crowd, they look pretty decent. BFG'S are still the #1 tire in the offroad world.
