66 Brake light switch question

First, great forum and thanks in advance to anyone that can help. I bought a 66 F350 and the brake lights do not work. I went to autozone and bought a new brake light switch, opened the hood to put it on and see that there is NO place on the master cylinder for it to go. In addition, there are NO loose wires hanging around the firewall so I am really confused as to where the switch is. I looked under the dash on the pedal and don't see anything there either. I thought this would be easy!!!!!
Thanks again
David

66 Brake light switch question

The brake light switch on my 1965 f-350 is under the cab in a brass junction in the brake lines. Yours is most likely in the same spot.If that is not the problem it might be a bad ground on the lights themselves.Any more questions just write back. I have two f-350s and love to see these trucks on the road!!

66 Brake light switch question

My 1964 f-350 4x4 is a dump truck used in my construction business. It has a 292 with a 4 speed. My 1965 f-350 was a stake dump used in our business for 18 years. It has a 352 with a NP 435 4 speed and is in the process of a total frame up resto. In my opinion these were some of the best trucks Ford made for working. A couple of minor problems but overall very strong.Good luck with yours.
