Intake Casting # Question

I picked up an 4 bbl intake from a wrecker a couple of weeks ago and got curious about the casting number(D5TE9425MB)

The best I could figure out is it's from a 1975 Truck from the Engine Department but what does the "MB" stand for?

mb is really nothing, it is the revision of the intake. The intake is a 1975 truck engine casting but it may be off a 1976 truck. The later intakes are standard "t" versions and are nothing special.

Yeah, the "D5" (1975) means the intake was first engineered for that model-year. It could be used all the way up to 1977 (last year for FE's).
