I have switched my 3 speed manual to an AOD automatic. It is all done, except I don't know how to run the neutral start switch, since I never had one origanally. Where do I connect the wires from the tranny?
Thans, Matt
You did not say what year truck you have, but they should be the same. Look for a red with blue tracer wire that goes to the starter relay. You should find this wire running along the back of the engine comparment, at the top of the bulk head. Make sure you have the right wire, with a test light, it should only be hot when you turn the key to the start postion. Cut this wire, and splice the wires from the neutral switch on the transmission. The switch should have four wires. Two for the start circuit, and two for the back-up lights. It been a while since I looked at the switch wires, but I think they are red/blue on the switch also. The starter wires of the switch should only make connection, when in "park" and "neutral"
