okay i have a 84 f150 with a 302, do all 302's have two drain plugs????, im gonna get a new oil pan soon cuz the drain plug doesnt fit, i guess the last person messed it up some how, so idk. but anyway just wonderin if i have the right oil pan.
yea i have one in the back adn it points straight down, then thiers one in the front like right above the cross member. anyone know a website that sells oil pans for our trucks or wut have ya.
You know they sell oversized and double oversized drain plugs. If your hole gets stripped out, you should be able to put one of those in the pan. If you have the DO, and it's too small, then you have a problem. I ended up removing my oil pan, and welding on a nut that I could thread a drain plug into. Works pretty good, and only cost me a few cents for the nut.
You have a double sump car oil pan in your truck, probably because your truck had an engine swapped into it from at car at some point in time.
If you swap to a regular rear sump pan, you may need to change the pickup tube also.
so what car do you think this pan came off, a mustang??, if so, just buy a mustang oil pan, i wanna put a new gasket on this pan, but i dotn know which car or truck to order a gasket for a oil pan from. so idk.
