anybody got any advice on an easy tilt wheel swap for my 62 4x4. hopefully something that just slips right in and bolts right up . also planning to add power steering .
thanks for the imput . sounds like fun .i have a 85 f250 but,no tilt .i recently bought a 76 dodge van that someone had converted to a 3/4 ton 4x4 ,and they stuck a tilt fron a 80's new yorker in it . perfect fit .i guess ill have to hit the yards and see what i can find. it seems like it would be a fairly popular thing to do on these trucks .you'd think someone would have made a kit by now ..hmmm...
You don't have a split shaft or rag joint in your one piece style steering coulmn.
A tilt style column is NOT adaptable to your truck as it is now. The examples you mention have the column separate from the Strg Gear Box, and they use a rag joint so they can take a tilt style column. . . .
