I have installed in "Christine" a Collum from an 88 F250. Tilt and Crusie. (64 Steering box.)

I made a new collum mount from a FE rod modified the steering shaft to accomidate the double "D" input of the collum.

The 4x4 you have uses a Gemmer box with a solid shaft. Nothing bolts right up. serious modifications are necessary to get it to work.

thanks for the imput . sounds like fun .i have a 85 f250 but,no tilt .i recently bought a 76 dodge van that someone had converted to a 3/4 ton 4x4 ,and they stuck a tilt fron a 80's new yorker in it . perfect fit .i guess ill have to hit the yards and see what i can find. it seems like it would be a fairly popular thing to do on these trucks .you'd think someone would have made a kit by now ..hmmm...

You don't have a split shaft or rag joint in your one piece style steering coulmn.
A tilt style column is NOT adaptable to your truck as it is now. The examples you mention have the column separate from the Strg Gear Box, and they use a rag joint so they can take a tilt style column. . . .
