Speedometer not moving
Thanks for any help.
Chet
The newer models use a sensor on the differential. If you spot something about the size of a walnut on the top part of the diff with wires on it, then you have a sensor and at least part of the speed functions are run thru the computer.
If the gear inside the tranny is shot then your speedo won't turn and this can affect cruise and odo.
I am not sure if your year model has a separate electronic sensor feeding the computer to control the cruise and odo. If your odometer is the spinning dial type, then that means it is also mechanical and runs off the cable.
Good Luck,

The cruise is a seperate problem, but I'm assuming you're least worried about that. If the speedo moves when you turn the cable, then the gear in the tranny tailshaft is broken and needs to be replaced. I haven't had to do that repair, so I can't help too much on how difficult it is. That will fix your speedo and your odometer.
The cruise is most likely a blown fuse, but it could be other wiring problems as well.
